Former Portsmouth striker Dario Silva has been pictured in Spain serving Pizza in a restaurant.
But contrary to a report on The Sun that Silva is working as a waiter in the restaurant to make money, Daily Star is reporting that the former Portsmouth star was only helping a friend who owns the restaurant.
"I'm happy,” he told Portuguese newspaper O Jogo in 2019 and as cited on Daily Star.
“I live with my family. I came to a friend's house and he has a pizzeria.
“I always come and it's the only pizzeria I've been to in Malaga because I feel like I'm at home. I don't work in it, I come to enjoy it with my friends.”
Silva had featured for then English Premier League side Portsmouth in 2005/06 season making 15 appearances for the Blues and scoring 3 goals.
The News reports Dario Silva was signed when Harry Redknapp was the manager at Fratton Park and struggled to make an impact in his time at PO4 and less than a year later, a horrific car crash led to the Uruguay international having his leg amputated.
The Uruguayan claimed he lost all his money made from playing football in England, Italy, and Spain after he was cheated by his agent.
Dario Silva made 49 appearances for the Uruguay national team in his playing career and scored 14 goals.
