Former Chelsea player Willian has named Chelsea among the three teams that can win the English Premier League this season, Complete Sports reports.

The Brazilian spent seven years at the Stamford Bridge club playing 234 games and scoring 37 goals before he left for rival club Arsenal.

When asked about the current players who make up the Blues squad under Thomas Tuchel, the 33-year-old named three players to help them win the league.

He said:

“Hudson-Odoi, Mason Mount, Reece James.’

When pressed to name a favourite, the Corinthians player replied:

“Difficult. I think Reece James. I like him. He’s a good player. I think he can be one of the best right-backs in the world in years.”

He also backed the Blues to go all the way and win the Premier League this season. He said via Sport Review:

“Three teams can win the league this year; Chelsea, Liverpool and City.
“But, Chelsea [will be champions], for sure.”

How EPL table looks like

Meanwhile, Man City have stretched their lead at the top of the Premier League table following their 4-0 comfortable win over Newcastle on Sunday, December 19.

The Citizens now have a three-point advantage over second-placed Liverpool who dropped points at Tottenham Hotspur.

Jurgen Klopp's charges were out for a win during their trip to north London but were held to a disappointing 2-2 draw to stumble in the title race.

Chelsea suffered a similar fate when they travelled to Wolves as they had to settle for another draw away from home.

Arsenal complete the top four slots thanks to their convincing win over Leeds United. The Gunners, who have enjoyed somewhat resurgence, hit four goals past a sorry Leeds side to climb to fourth with 32 points.

Neville expresses concerns over Tuchel’s future at Chelsea

Sports Brief earlier reported that Man United legend Gary Neville has admitted Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel must be a worried man after the Blues' recent run of poor results.

The Blues have lost some ground in the title race after they dropped points again on Sunday, December 19, after they were held to a goalless draw at Wolves.

And when asked if Tuchel is under pressure after the frustrating run of results, Neville noted the tactician has "some credit in the bank."
