Have Kaizer Chiefs made their job of finding a new manager more complicated than it should be?

The Amakhosi are looking for a permanent replacement for Molefi Ntseki and have been linked to numerous high-profile managers.

Reports indicate that Chiefs are close to securing the services of Nasreddine Nabi, but may have shot themselves in the foot as two other sought-after managers are now available.

The predicament Chiefs find themselves in

As noted by Soccer Laduma, Chiefs now have three viable options but can hire only one of them.

The three men are Nabi, Alexandre Santos and Pitso Mosimane.

According to the publication, Chiefs put all their efforts into signing Tunisia’s Nabi, eager to avoid the mistake last season where they missed out on his signature and had to hire Ntseki.

The club were heavily linked with the FAR Rabat manager, but the deal never materialised.

What each manager brings to the table

Nasreddine Nabi

The 58-year-old manager is a proven trophy winner who won six trophies in two years as the manager of Young Africans.

In his debut season with Yanga SC, his side won the league without suffering defeat, GOAL noted.

Alexandre Santos

The Portuguese manager is also on the radar of the Amakhosi and is keen on the post.

The former Petro de Luanda boss is also a serial trophy winner. He recently turned down a chance to extend his contract in Angola to qualify for the Chiefs position.

Pitso Mosimane

The name many Chiefs fans want to see at the club is Mosimane.

The South African tactician has proven he can win trophies in the country, having led Mamelodi Sundowns to 10 titles. He also achieved huge success with Al Ahly in Egypt.

Chiefs on the verge of signing Nabi

Sports Brief reported that Chiefs were close to signing FAR Rabat’s Nabi as their new manager.

That’s according to SABC journalist Mazola Molefe, who claimed the Tunisian would be appointed.

The Soweto-based side are looking to appoint a new manager to lead the club back to its winning ways.
