Kaizer Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung and head of digital Kemiso Motaung were spotted hailing Abha of Saudi manager Pitso Mosimane.

Pitso's name has appeared repeatedly as fans link the former Mamelodi Sundowns manager with the plum Amakhosi job.

Since Molefi Nteseki was relieved of his duties as head coach of Kaizer Chiefs and Cavin Johnson appointed as the interim coach, 'Jingles' have been tipped to get the appointment on a permanent basis.

Amid the speculations, the tactician fuelled the rumours with a cryptic post on his official social media handle, GOAL reports.

President Heri Said of Tanzanian club Young Africans shared a video showing him dining alongside Chiefs' bosses Bobby Motaung and Kemiso Motaung.

Heri added the caption:

“We’re taking good care of your family. We miss you @TheRealPitso wishing you the best this season CHAMPION!”

In his reaction, Pitso replied:

“President and Arafat, those people are very close to my heart. I know you will treat them well.
"I wish I was there like last time. Wananchi Day! Beauty! Beauty!”

An earlier statement by Kaizer Chiefs stated that Cavin Johnson will return to his role as head of Academy as soon as a permanent coach is named.

The Soweto giants went public in their search for a new head coach, and several candidates have been linked to the job.

Mosimane's contract in Saudi Arabia expires next month, and his comments could hint at what is to come.

Pitso reflects on time with Al Ahli

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Mosimane expressed pride in his contributions while reflecting on his time with Al Ahli.

He and his team had taken the club to FIFA over unpaid salaries, a case that went in their favour. Despite this, the South African tactician downplayed the financial aspect, stressing legacy over money.

When questioned about whether he would work for free, Mosimane acknowledged partial payment from Al Ahli.
