While managing Liverpool and Manchester City

Premier League

Guardiola holds the edge when it comes to Premier League trophies, winning six titles in the English top flight.

He managed to achieve that with Manchester City in just a seven-season span. They won back-to-back titles in the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons and are currently in the midst of a historic four-peat, per Yahoo Sports.

Klopp helped Liverpool end their Premier League title drought in the 2019-20 season. That proved to be the German boss's lone title in the English top flight, with City denying his side the championship on the final day twice.

The Reds finished one point shy of the Citizens in the 2018-19 and 2021-22 seasons.

UEFA Champions League

Klopp won one Champions League title during his time at Liverpool, capturing the European Cup in the 2018-19 season.

Fans will never forget their run to the title. Liverpool beat Barcelona 4-3 on aggregate in the semis after erasing a 0-3 deficit in the second leg. They then beat Tottenham 2-0 in the final to win their sixth Champions League title.

Guardiola followed suit and helped Manchester City win their first-ever Champions League title in the 2022-23 season.

They defeated Inter 1-0 in the final to complete a historic treble, per the BBC.

FA Cup

Guardiola won two FA Cups with Manchester City, capturing the titles in the 2018-19 and 2022-23 seasons.

He won his first-ever FA Cup in style, with City recording a 6-0 victory over Watford in the 2019 final. Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling each scored braces in the rout.

He won the tournament again in 2023, this time beating crosstown rivals Manchester United in the final. Ilkay Gundogan starred for City in the final, scoring a brace in the 2-1 victory.

Klopp won the FA Cup once during his time at Liverpool, lifting the trophy in the 2021-22 season. The Reds beat Chelsea 6-5 in the penalty shootout to win their eighth FA Cup overall.

League Cup

Guardiola holds the edge when it comes to League Cup titles, winning four in a row from the 2017-18 to 2020-21 seasons.

Klopp won two League Cups with Liverpool, capturing the titles in the 2021-22 and 2023-24 seasons.

The 2022 final was one for the record books, with the Reds beating Chelsea 11-10 in an epic penalty shootout.

They faced each other again in the 2024 final, with Liverpool recording a 1-0 victory. Virgil van Dijk starred in the win, scoring the game's lone goal in the 118th minute.

FIFA Club World Cup

Guardiola and Klopp led City and Liverpool to victory in the FIFA Club World Cup.

Liverpool won FIFA's showpiece event in 2019, beating Flamengo 1-0 in the final.

Manchester City matched the Reds' feat in 2023, beating Fluminense 4-0 in the final.

UEFA Super Cup

Klopp and Guardiola also delivered the UEFA Super Cup to their Premier League teams.

Liverpool won UEFA's showpiece event in 2019, beating Chelsea 5-4 on penalties.

Manchester City won that same tournament four years later, beating Sevilla 5-4 in a penalty shootout in the final.

FA Community Shield

Guardiola led Manchester City to back-to-back Community Shield wins in 2018 and 2019, beating Chelsea and Liverpool, respectively.

Klopp won the Community Shield once, leading the Reds to victory in 2022. They beat Manchester City 3-1 in that contest.

Liverpool appoint Slot to be Klopp's successor

Sports Brief recently reported on Klopp's replacement at Liverpool.

The Reds confirmed on Monday that Arne Slot will be taking over as manager.

The Dutchman was the former coach of Feyenoord.
