Brighton and Hove Albion forward, Simon Adingra, has received a special recognition award for his excellent performances with Ivory Coast at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The 22-year-old rose to the occasion and was one of the best players in the Ivorian team as the Elephants went from the brink of elimination to win the competition.
Adingra was Man of the Match in the final, delivering the assists for both goals as Ivory Coast defeated Nigeria 2-1 to win the tournament on home soil.
He was also named the Best Young Player at the end of the competition in February this year.

Following his exploits, the Professional Footballers' Association presented the Brighton winger with a special award in celebration of his achievement.
"Great to present Simon Andingra with a PFA special recognition award. For his outstanding involvement in Ivory Coast's Africa Cup of Nations victory," wrote the PFA on X, while presenting the award to the player.
The petit winger has also been key for the Seagulls this season in the Premier League, scoring six goals and delivering an assist in 29 matches, per Transfermarkt.

The fan, in his Seagulls kit, could not hide his joy after the 22-year-old starred as the host nation came from behind to beat Nigeria and win the tournament.
Adingra served up the assists for both Ivorian goals and was a menace for Nigeria defender, Ola Aina, who failed to contain him down the flank.
