Mohammed Kudus was the brightest spot in West Ham United's humiliating defeat at Stamford Bridge to Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.

The Ghana international became the first player in the 2023/24 campaign to make 13 successful take-ons in a Premier League game.

His performance was, however, overshadowed by the Hammers' 5-0 defeat to the Blues.

A brace from the in-form Nicolas Jackson and goals from Cole Palmer, Conor Gallagher, and Noni Madueke were enough for Chelsea to continue their recent renaissance.

Kudus equalled Eden Hazard's most take-ons in a game with his 13 successful dribbles, according to Squawka.

Hazard completed the same number of dribbles in games against Bournemouth and Huddersfield in 2016 and 2019 respectively.

Meanwhile, Kudus is yet to beat the record for the most take-ons (16) in an EPL game set by Adama Traore of Wolverhampton Wanderers against Watford in 2020.

Kudus has reached 116 successful dribbles this season, the most by a player in Europe's top five leagues following his outstanding debut campaign in England.

Liverpool are reportedly interested in the former Ajax star ahead of the summer transfer window, as reported by Football 365.

Sports Brief also reported that West Ham United star, Mohammed Kudus spent time with Shatta Wale in London during a concert at the O2 Indigo Arena.

The Black Stars midfielder, a known fan of Shatta Wale's long-standing rival, Stonebwoy, joined thousands of Ghanaians in the UK for the Medikal concert.

In a video shared on social media, Kudus presented the award-winning artist with a customised West Ham jersey while sharing jokes with the Nima-born singer.
