The Foxes lost 2-0 at home to Blackburn Rovers, but the result did not dampen the mood inside the stadium. Their players and fans were jubilant as they celebrated the trophy.

Leicester dominated the 2023/24 Championship season, but there was panic a few months ago when they lost six matches between February and April. However, they kept their cool and secured important wins to move back to the top.

Issahaku was one of the club's standout players. He shared a video of himself celebrating the title with Nigeria's Iheanacho during the celebration.

The Ghanaian youngster was particularly excited during the celebrations. He expressed his admiration for the Nigerian striker as they walked around the pitch, according to an Instagram reel posted by ESPN Africa.

Issahaku is rated highly and is expected to be a key player for the club in the 2024/25 Premier League season. This season, he registered seven goals and 13 assists in 43 appearances, per Transfermarkt.

Issahaku signs permanent deal

Sports Brief earlier reported that Issahaku is set to sign a permanent deal with Leicester from Portuguese side, Sporting Lisbon.

The Foxes reportedly triggered the forward's 17 million euros buy option, which was included in the terms of his loan deal, as the English side had the right to make the move permanent.

Issahaku wins Leicester City Award

Sports Brief also reported that Issahaku was named the Best Young Player during the Leicester City awards.

The 20-year-old winger played a crucial role in Leicester's swift Premier League return. His hat-trick against Southampton on April 23 helped the club seal promotion.

He also provided an assist in the team's 3-0 win over Preston, which helped the club win the Championship title.
