Kai Havertz made history for Arsenal during their London derby meeting with rivals Chelsea.

The encounter was a pretty much one-sided affair, with the hosts securing a huge 5-0 win to further boost their title chances.

Leandro Trossard scored the opening goal for Arsenal inside just four minutes of action before Havertz and Ben White struck a brace each to put the game to bed.

Havertz, who spent three seasons with Chelsea before he swapped them for their London rivals, went on to launch a passionate celebration after finding the back of the net against his former side.

Havertz makes history against Chelsea

Incidentally, SPORTbible reports that his two goals saw him make history for the north Londoners.

Per Opta, the German's double against the Blues saw him become the first player to play for the west Londoners and then score twice against them in the Premier League.

Arsenal forked out an eyewatering £65 million to land the services of the 24-year-old from Stamford Bridge last summer.

The Germany international has gone on to be a revelation at the Emirates, having already scored 12 goals across all competitions in his debut season.

Mikel Arteta's charges will be back in action on Sunday to face rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby.

Havertz 'trolls' Chelsea with iconic celebration

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on Havertz appearing to troll Chelsea with his infamous celebration after he scored against them in the London derby.

As has become customary, the former Bayer Leverkusen prodigy stuck out his tongue while putting his hands on his head.

The midfielder made it 3-0 for the hosts in the 57th minute before he completed his double almost 10 minutes later.
