The youngster opened the scoring for his side in the 13th minute before he doubled the advantage five minutes later.

The former Manchester City ace went on to make it 3-0 in the 29th minute before he added his fourth of the match from the penalty spot in the 64th minute.

His incredible performance saw him record yet another hat-trick for Chelsea in just days, having scored another during his side's 4-3 dramatic win over Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.

Palmer's seven goals in just two matches have catapulted him to the summit of the goal-scorers charts in the Premier League with 20 so far.

The England international now sits joint-top with Manchester City hotshot, Erling Haaland, as the race for the Golden Boot heats up.

Haaland is looking to defend the crown, having carted home the prize last term in his debut season with the reigning English champions.

Aston Villa star, Ollie Watkins, is the other player firmly in the race for the individual award, having already scored 19 goals in the league.
