1. Cole Palmer (29 minutes)

Palmer is on fire for Chelsea right now. He needed just 29 minutes to record his perfect hat-trick, breaking Tommy Johnson's record by a considerable margin.

He opened the scoring for the Blues in the 13th minute, curling a left-footed strike into the back of the net. He doubled his tally in the 18th minute, scoring a header off a rebound.

Palmer achieved perfection in the 29th minute, using his right foot to score a lobbed goal over Jordan Pickford, who inexplicably gave the ball away to the Chelsea star.

2. Tommy Johnson (38 minutes)

Johnson held the record for earliest perfect hat-trick in the Premier League for more than 29 years. He achieved the feat in Aston Villa's 7-1 win over Wimbledon on February 11, 1995.

He opened his account in the 22nd minute, scoring a glancing header to give Villa a 2-1 lead. He doubled his tally just four minutes later, finding the back of the net with a low-left footed strike.

Johnson completed the perfect hat-trick in the 38th minute, diverting Shaun Teale’s attempt with his right foot for Aston Villa's fourth goal.

3. Erling Haaland (38 minutes)

Haaland came close to breaking Johnson's record last year, scoring a perfect hat-trick in just 38 minutes as well.

He opened the scoring against Nottingham Forest with a left-footed strike in the 12th minute. He doubled his tally in the 23rd minute, scoring an easy tap-in with his right foot.

He achieved perfection in the 38th minute, scoring his third goal of the match with a close-range header.

4. Ollie Watkins (39 minutes)

Watkins needed just 39 minutes to complete a perfect-hat trick on October 4, 2020.

He opened the scoring against Liverpool with a left-footed finish in the fourth minute. He doubled his tally in the 22nd minute, blasting a right-footed strike into the roof of the net.

Watkins achieved perfection minutes before the half-time break, nodding home Matt Targett's cross. Villa went on to win 7-2 against the Reds.

5. Robbie Fowler (47 minutes)

Fowler needed 47 minutes to complete a perfect-hat trick against Southampton on January 16, 1999. The Reds ran riot in that contest, pulling off a 7-1 victory.

He's the only player in Premier League history to record three perfect hat-tricks in the English top flight.

Chelsea's four-goal heroes

Sports Brief recently reported on the Chelsea players who scored four goals in a Premier League match.

Palmer added his name to the list with his rampage against Everton, scoring his fourth goal via a penalty.
