West Ham United star, Mohammed Kudus, left many wondering after naming Emmanuel Danso as the best player he has ever played with.

Kudus, who is enjoying an outstanding season with the Hammers since arriving from Ajax last summer, has played with several players including Brazilian duo Antony of Manchester United and Lucas Paqueta.

However, the former Ajax man rolled back the clock to his academy days to pick his best teammate.

The 23-year-old is convinced Danso will soon reach his full potential as he continues to find his feet in the Norwegian league with Stromsgodset.

“You don’t know him, but you will know him soon. He’s called Emmanuel Danso. I played with him way back from Ghana when I was growing up and he’s one of the best players I’ve ever played with. I’ve played with a lot of players, but he’s the one, he’s like my age," he told Sky Sports, as quoted by TBR Football.

“He’s a defensive midfielder, a number six, both feet, passing, I’ve always loved him," he added.

Kudus went on to recommend Danso to West Ham.

“Right, right, she’s hearing it so let’s get the conversation outside, yeah,” Kudus added when asked if he could recommend the player to West Ham.

Kudus and Danso played together during their youth football days in Accra.

Who is Emmanuel Danso?

Emmanuel Danso started his football in Accra with Sporting Club before moving to Europe in 2019 to join French giants Olympique Lyonnais on loan. He was later sold to Lyon and after three seasons with the B team, he moved to Norway to join Stromsgodset.

The defensive midfielder was teammates with Kudus at the Right to Dream Academy, where they spent time together and featured in several youth competitions.

They played in tournaments that featured some top European clubs including Manchester City.

This season Danso has made an appearance in the new Norwegian football season, per Transfermarkt.

Kudus discloses love for Barcelona

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Mohammed Kudus disclosed his support for Barcelona, stating he watched the club while growing up as a young footballer.

Kudus could not hide his affection for arguably the greatest player on earth, Lionel Messi.

Meanwhile, before moving to England, there were reports Barcelona were interested in the then-Ajax midfielder.
