In a video shared on social media, the fan seemed agitated as he tried to confront the Morocco international, before pulling out a whip to flog the striker. The striker reacted by pouring water into the stands before they were quickly separated.

Hamdallah has been Al-Ittihad's top scorer this season, outshining summer arrival and Ballon d'Or winner Karim Benzema with his 27 goals across all competitions, per Transfermarkt.

Meanwhile, Al-Ittihad will face Al-Hilal again in the semi-final of the King's Cup on April 30.

In a one-sided game in Abu Dhabi, Brazilian forward Malcolm scored twice to add to goals from Salem Al-Dawsari and Nasser AL-Dawsari as Al-Hilal won their first trophy of the season.

Koulibaly delighted to win Saudi Super Cup

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Senegal defender, Kalidou Koulibaly expressed delight after winning his first trophy with Al-Hilal.

The former Chelsea centre-back played an instrumental role as the Saudi League leaders stopped Karim Benzema and his Al-Ittihad teammates in a 4-1 annihilation in Abu Dhabi.

Brazilian forward Malcom scored twice to add to strikes from Salem Al-Dawsari and Nasser Al-Dawsari with Abderrazak Hamdallah getting the consolation goal for Al-Ittihad.

Hamdallah leads Africans with most SPL goals

Sports Brief also reported that Al-Ittihad forward Abderazzak Hamdallah scored the most goals among the African players in the Saudi Pro League.

The African players have played significant roles for their clubs despite most of them only arriving at their teams in the last summer transfer window.

The player exodus to Saudi Arabia is backed by the country's desire to grow the sport after making the biggest move of bringing Cristiano Ronaldo to the Middle East.
