Players to score Premier League hat-trick vs United

David Bentley (2006)

David Bentley made history with the first Premier League hat-trick against Manchester United, helping Blackburn edge their rivals 4-3 in 2006.

It took 14 seasons for this feat, with Bentley's brilliance sealing a memorable win, including goals from a rebound and capitalizing on defensive errors.

Lucas Neill's penalty put Blackburn ahead 3-1, and Bentley sealed his hat-trick by slotting in a bouncing ball, igniting Ewood Park.

Despite Ruud van Nistelrooy's late brace, Blackburn held on for a thrilling 4-3 win. Bentley's feat marked the first top-flight hat-trick against United since QPR's Dennis Bailey on January 1st, 1992.

Dirk Kuyt (2011)

Dirk Kuyt endeared himself to Liverpool fans with his tireless work ethic.

In 2011, he showcased his diligence by scoring a hat-trick against Manchester United in a straightforward 3-1 victory at Anfield, marking one of the easiest Premier League hat-tricks ever

Kuyt's three goals, all scored within approximately six yards, highlighted the importance of being alert in the box. He capitalised on being in the right place at the right time, becoming the first Liverpool player in 21 years to notch a hat-trick against Manchester

Romelu Lukaku (2013)

In Sir Alex Ferguson's last match with Manchester United, they drew 5-5 with West Brom in a thrilling contest at The Hawthorns.

Despite leading 5-2, United conceded late to share the points.

Chelsea loanee Romelu Lukaku, later signed by Manchester United in 2017, netted twice late in the game, completing his hat-trick and salvaging a result.

Samuel Eto’o (2014)

Samuel Eto'o, past his prime, arrived in the Premier League with a proven track record under Mourinho from their time at Inter Milan.

His sole season at Chelsea saw him net nine league goals, including a hat-trick against Manchester United.

Eto'o struck twice in the first half, with his opener looping over De Gea, and completed his treble early in the second half, capitalising on a loose ball.

Mohamed Salah (2021)

In 2021, Mohamed Salah made history by becoming the first opposing player to score a Premier League hat-trick at Old Trafford.

Liverpool dominated Manchester United, with Salah netting three goals in a rampant display. After Keita and Jota opened the scoring, Salah took over, leading Liverpool to a commanding lead by halftime.

Salah scored his first from Keita's cross and added a second with a low shot. He completed his hat-trick five minutes into the second half, racing onto Henderson's superb pass to secure the match ball.

Erling Haaland (2022)

In his debut season at Manchester City, Erling Haaland became a Premier League sensation.

He made history by being the first player to score hat-tricks in three consecutive home games, including one in the Manchester Derby.

Haaland's dominant performance, contributing three goals and two assists, led City to a 6-3 victory under Pep Guardiola's guidance.

Phil Foden (2022)

Foden and Haaland joined an exclusive club as the third Premier League teammates to score hat-tricks in the same game.

This feat occurred in Manchester City's 6-3 win over Manchester United in 2022, following only Arsenal's Pires and Pennant, and Leicester's Vardy and Perez.

Foden scored early in the Derby, then completed his hat-trick, assisted by Haaland for his second goal.

It marked his first career hat-trick, sealing City's sixth goal of the game.
