  • Cristiano Ronaldo has opened up after his 65th career hat-trick
  • Ronaldo bagged another treble as Al-Nassr thump Abha Club 8-0
  • He could also chalk another unprecedented feat after the season

Cristiano Ronaldo is ageing like fine wine after scoring his 65th career hat-trick in Al-Nassr's rampant 8-0 thrashing of Abha in the Saudi Pro League.

The 39-year-old made it a back-to-back hat-trick in just three days after his first-half treble led to the ruthless demolition exercise of Pitso Mosimane's side on Tuesday.

Amidst recent scrutiny, particularly following Portugal's international matches last month, Ronaldo silenced his critics in emphatic fashion.

Ronaldo leads ruthless Al-Nassr rout

He opened the scoring with a fortuitous free-kick goal before stunning spectators with another goal from a set-piece.

Completing his hat-trick before halftime with yet another exceptional finish, Cristiano also contributed two assists, rounding off a spectacular first half.

Coach Luis Castro wisely granted his tormentor-in-chief some rest during the break, substituting the Portuguese star.

Despite his absence, Al-Nassr managed to dominate further, adding four goals against a helpless Abha side, whose survival prospects in the league diminished significantly after suffering their heaviest defeat of the season.

Ronaldo's latest milestone after Abha hat-trick

Ronaldo achieved personal milestones during the match, reaching 65 career hat-tricks and narrowing the gap between himself and his perennial rival, Lionel Messi, in terms of free-kick goals.

Two of his goals, which were from set-pieces, brought his total free-kick strikes to 64, just one shy of Messi's count, per MessivsRonaldo.

Meanwhile, with 29 goals to his name, CR7 remains a frontrunner for the Golden Boot Award in the Saudi League, as noted by Transfermarkt.

Following his outstanding performance, the former Manchester United, Juventus, and Real Madrid ace took to social media to express his joy and promise more to come.

"We are not slowing down!" he wrote on X, accompanied by a fast-moving train and three footballs to signify his hunger to attain more.

Ronaldo on the cusp of football history

Still on, Cristiano Ronaldo, the Al-Nassr captain, is on the brink of football history, as reported by Sports Brief.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner could become the first player ever to clinch a Golden Boot in four distinct divisions, excluding state championships.

Ronaldo's remarkable feat is fueled by his 29 league goals, placing him at the summit of the goalscorers charts in the Saudi Pro League.
