Barely one month after losing to Anthony Joshua in a boxing match, Francis Ngannou was spotted training with a local football team in Cameroon.

Tagged the 'Knockout Chaos', Ngannou was knocked town on three occasions as he lost to the two-time former world champion.

Joshua, the two-time former unified world heavyweight champion, sent Ngannou to the canvas in the opening round of their fight and then fell him a further two times in an emphatic second round to win the bout.

Having lost his two professional boxing bouts, Sky Sports reports that Ngannou would return to MMA and will make his PFL debut against the winner Renan Ferreira.

However as the world anticipates a return of the fighter, Ngannou was spotted training with local football team Sable FC based in Batie.

Dressed in the club's full kit, the 37-year-old was captured in the thick of action while he tried to go past some players.

He took to social to share photos of himself, and added the caption "Enjoying my time back home, playing football."

Fans have taken to the comment section to react. One said:

"Great. You can also make a good Footballer if you can put in some much effort."

A troll added:

"This is your real calling bro. Keep it up. Francis 10."

Another added:

"Next they will select you for the Cameroonian National team because you are Mr. Perfect."

A fan wrote:

"Ngannou as a player would’ve been awesome, he would’ve still rule the football world with his physics as a striker he would be deadly and difficult for any defender to handle."

When did Ngannou join PFL?

Sports Brief earlier reported that after leaving the UFC while still heavyweight champion, Ngannou was one of the hottest free agents in combat sports.

In May 2023, PFL announced that they had signed a multi-fight deal with the African star, ESPN reported.

As part of his deal, he was also given a post to serve on PFL's Global Athlete Advisory Board and was named Chairman and equity owner in PFL Africa.
