10 Worst Finishers in 2023/24 Premier League

1. Dominic Calvert-Lewin (Everton, -6.5)

According to GivemeSport, Calvert-Lewin is the worst finisher in the Premier League thus far this season.

Based on the numbers, the Everton forward has a G-xG (Goals minus expected goals) rating of -6.5, the worst in the English top flight.

The Toffees star has scored just thrice this season. He should have had more, with Calvert-Lewin already missing 12 big chances this campaign.

2. Nicolas Jackson (Chelsea, -4.4)

Jackson is the second-worst finisher in the Premier League this season, with a G-xG rating of -4.4.

The Senegalese forward has disappointed for Chelsea this campaign, scoring just nine league goals. He should have scored more for the Blues, with the 22-year-old missing 17 big chances in the Premier League this season.

3. Darwin Nunez (Liverpool, -3.7)

Nunez is the third-worst finisher in the English top flight this season, with a G-xG rating of -3.7.

He has scored 10 goals for the Reds this campaign, but his misses for them have been glaring as well. He is second in the Premier League in missed big chances with 22 this season.

4. Bruno Fernandes (Man Utd, -3.3)

Fernandes is the fourth-worst finisher in the Premier League this season, with the Manchester United captain having a G-xG rating of -3.3.

He has struggled in front of goal for the Red Devils, finding the back of the net just four times this season. He should have had more, with 30 of his 74 shot attempts being on target.

Fernandes has missed five big chances for United this campaign.

5. Erling Haaland (Man City, -3.2)

The Golden Boot leader surprisingly found himself in the top 5 after his dismal showing against the Gunners on Sunday.

He has a G-xG rating of -3.2 this season despite scoring a league-best 18 goals. He should be running away with the scoring title now if only he has been deadly in front of goal.

He has missed 27 big chances for the defending champions this season, the worst in the English top flight.

6. Enzo Fernandez (Chelsea, -2.9)

The Chelsea midfielder is the sixth-worst finisher in the Premier League this season, with Fernandez having a G-xG rating of -2.9.

He has found the back of the net just three times this campaign, with the Argentinian missing six big chances thus far.

7. Brennan Johnson (Tottenham Hotspur, -2.6)

Johnson is the seventh-worst finisher in the English top flight this season, with a G-xG rating of -2.6.

He has scored four goals for Tottenham this campaign. The 22-year-old should have had more, missing nine big chances for Spurs this season.

8. Beto (Everton, -2.4)

Beto is the eighth-worst finisher in the Premier League this season, with the Everton forward having a G-xG rating of -2.4.

He has struggled in front of goal for the Toffees, finding the back of the net just four times this season. He should have had more this season, with Beto missing seven big chances.

9. Pedro Porro (Tottenham, -2.3)

Pedro Porro's main job with Tottenham is to defend, but he's not afraid to join the attack as the team's side-back. He has not found the back of the net this season despite having 39 shot attempts.

Only six of his shots were on target, causing the Spurs defender to have a G-xG rating of -2.3.

10. Keane Lewis-Potter (Brentford, -2.3)

Lewis-Potter entered the top 10 after posting a G-xG rating of -2.3 this season.

He has scored twice for the Bees this campaign. He should have netted more goals, with the Brentford star missing seven big chances in the English top flight this season.
