Pep Guardiola has been accused of “doing it for the cameras” after an animated lecture towards Jack Grealish on Sunday, March 31.

City went two points behind Liverpool in the title race after being held by Mikel Arteta’s side as the match failed to live up to expectations with both sides cancelling each other out for a majority of the game.

One positive for City was the return of Grealish, who overcame a groin injury and was introduced to the action in the second half.

But the Birmingham-born winger was unable to inspire his team get a decisive goal in the 29 minutes he played on Sunday, and Guardiola was spotted passionately having a go at the former Aston Villa man at full-time.

Cameras captured the moment the Spaniard walked up to Grealish before giving him a lecture in the full glare of the stadium, an act that left beIN Sports presenter Richard Keys irritated.

With not many talking points in the game, Keys rant was directed at Guardiola, whom he accused of doing it “for the cameras”.
“Save it for the dressing room. It’s all for the cameras, isn’t it? It’s so tiresome. Go down the tunnel, he shouldn’t even be on the pitch,” Keys could be heard saying, according to The Mirror.

Guardiola’s tirade did not stop, as he also went to have a brief discussion with Arsenal’s Gabriel Magalhaes before also having a go at his striker Erling Haaland, who was completely subdued on Sunday afternoon.

And again, Keys was not impressed by Guardiola’s antics, adding, “Now he’s got to go and tell everybody else what they did wrong of course.".

What next for City?

City will have to dust themselves up quickly, as they have another crunch fixture against Aston Villa on Wednesday, April 3.

This is one of the nine matches the Cityzens could play in the month of April.

Kalvin Phillips insults West Ham fans

Elsewhere, Sports Brief reported on Kalvin Phillips’ offensive gesture towards West Ham fans.

The midfielder was on the spot for conceding a penalty which inspired Newcastle to come back from 3-1 down to win 4-3.

After the game, some West Ham fans labelled Phillips “useless”, and the on-loan star replied with a finger gesture.
