Games will be packed and fast-paced leading up to the holiday season, with the next international break a long four months away.

Sports Brief previews the top four matches to keep an eye on this weekend.

Matches to watch this weekend

Man City vs Arsenal

Arsenal gear up for a crucial clash against Manchester City in the Premier League title race this weekend, their final encounter of the season against either City or Liverpool. It follows closely after the Reds' match against Brighton, potentially impacting the top spot. Arsenal's last win at the Etihad Stadium dates back to January 2015, making this visit a significant test in the quest for a first title in two decades, per Eurosport.

Both teams enter the fixture in stellar form. City remain unbeaten since December, aiming to replicate last season's treble success. Arsenal, on the other hand, ride an impressive streak of eight consecutive league victories. Their recent UEFA Champions League quarter-final qualification, breaking a 14-year drought, has added to their momentum as they aim to end longstanding challenges haunting the club.

Bayern Munich vs Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund near a critical juncture in their season as they vie for UEFA Champions League qualification. Their journey intensifies with a crucial match against Bayern Munich, who also confront their own challenges ahead of the game.

Dortmund's history in Germany's premier matchup is bleak, with eight consecutive losses at Bayern Munich and their last Bundesliga victory in Der Klassiker dating back to 2016.

However, the Black and Yellow have shown the ability to secure wins this season without dominating play. With Bayern facing difficulties in the league, Dortmund aims to capitalise and potentially dash their title hopes this Saturday.

Real Madrid vs Athletic Bilbao

Two prominent La Liga clubs, Real Madrid (currently first) and Athletic Bilbao (currently fourth), will collide at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on Sunday.

In their recent away fixture against CA Osasuna, Real Madrid secured a 4-2 victory, with Vinicius Junior netting two of their goals.

Athletic Bilbao emerged triumphant with a 2-0 home win against Deportivo Alaves on March 16, with Gorka Guruzeta netting both goals for the team, via GOAL.

Marseille vs PSG

Sunday evening marks the return of Le Classique as Olympique de Marseille welcome Paris Saint-Germain to Stade Vélodrome. While PSG has dominated this iconic fixture, OM may find some optimism against their bitter rivals.

Under interim manager, Jean-Louis Gasset, Marseille have won five of their last seven matches, advancing to the Europa League quarter-finals. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been in fine form, netting eight goals since Gasset's arrival.

Despite history's lessons, PSG sit atop the league with a 21-match unbeaten streak. Kylian Mbappé's recent hat-trick against Montpellier brings his season tally to 38 goals. Despite OM's threat, the Parisians seem unstoppable.

Guardiola sweating over 7 City players' fitness

Sports Brief also reported that Manchester City will face Arsenal in perhaps one of the Premier League's most crucial games this season.

However, Pep Guardiola's Citizens may have to tackle the Gunners without as many as seven players as the campaign nears its conclusion.
