Euro 2024 Group E teams

Ukraine

Ukraine had to work hard for their Euro 2024 spot. They had to play additional games in the qualifying play-offs after they finished third in Group C behind England and Italy.

Ukraine were assigned to Path B, where they faced Bosnia and Herzegovina in the semi-finals. They recorded a come-from-behind 2-1 win in that contest to arrange a final clash with Iceland in Poland.

Just like in the game against Bosnia, Ukraine conceded the first goal against Iceland. Albert Gudmundsson opened the scoring in the play-off finals with a strike in the 30th minute.

There's no quit with Ukraine, though, who scored two goals in the second half to record the comeback win. Viktor Tsyhankov equalised in the 54th minute before Mykhailo Mudryk scored the match-winner in the 84th minute.

This will be their fourth appearance in the European Championship. Their best finish in the tournament came in Euro 2020 when they reached the quarter-finals.

Belgium

Belgium booked their spot in Euro 2024 with ease, going undefeated in the qualifying round to finish top of Group F.

They finished with 20 points after recording six wins and two draws. Romelu Lukaku led the way for the Red Devils in the group stage, scoring 14 goals.

Euro 2024 will be Belgium's seventh appearance in the European Championship. Their best finish in the tournament came in 1980 when they reached the final.

Slovakia

Slovakia qualified for Euro 2024 after finishing second in Group J. They recorded seven wins, two losses and one draw in the group stage to finish with 22 points.

Euro 2024 will be their sixth appearance in the European Championship (including Czechoslovakia's stints in the Euros). Their best finish in the tournament came in 1976 when Czechoslovakia captured the title.

Romania

Romania secured their place in Euro 2024 after they finished top of Group I. They went unbeaten in the group stage, recording six victories and four draws.

Euro 2024 will be Romania's fifth appearance in the European Championship. Their best finish in the tournament came in Euro 2000 when they reached the quarter-finals.
