Ahead of the friendly match with arch-rivals Ghana, Finidi George, who has been drafted to lead the Super Eagles is trying new tactics.

Goalkeeper Francis Uzoho, who seems to have conceded his No.1 position to Francis Nwabali, was tried in the center-back position.

Finidi watched with amazement as Uzoho performed brilliantly well in the defensive, just position two days before the all-important fixture.

The Super Eagles will file out against the Black Stars in a much-talked friendly slated for Morocco on Friday, March 22.

The match is billed for the Grand de Stade Marrakech in Marrakech, where Nigeria will also take on the Eagles of Mali four days later.

Almost all the invited players have hit camp ahead of the matches as the players reunite again one month after the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations where they finished as runners-up.

The team have been engaged in intense training as the appointed technical crew, led by Finidi, is desperate to make a statement.

However, Wednesday's training session seemed to have sparked reactions among football fans after Uzoho impressed as a center-back.

Nigerian journalist Tobi Adepoju, who monitored the training session, shared a clip with the caption:

"Inside The Super Eagles Training In Morocco. Finidi George and his players held an interesting session.

"Kenneth Omeruo and Calvin Bassey were excused from the session.

"Fun Fact: Francis Uzoho played in a makeshift center-back role and he was solid."

It was gathered that the forward barely trained in the last few days due to an inflammation of the scar from an old injury.
