Ghana's Black Stars have opened camp in Marrakech, Morocco ahead of their international friendlies against Nigeria and Uganda.

Twenty-four players reported to camp on Tuesday as preparations began ahead of the two games.

Coach Otto Addo, who was reappointed following the sacking of Chris Hughton, made some late changes to the squad, inviting Belgium-based Francis Abu and Red Bull Salzburg youngster Amakwah Forson.

Jerome Opoku of Istanbul Basaksehir and Ebenezer Annan were also late invitees to the team for Friday's West African derby, per the FA's official website.

Meanwhile, missing from the squad are Arsenal's Thomas Partey, Joseph Painstil of LA Galaxy and Inaki Williams of Athletic Bilbao, as reported by Citi News.

Newly signed Brighton forward Ibrahim Osman and Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Fredrick Asare also received their debut call-ups. Mohammed Kudus and Bolivia-bound goalkeeper David Akologo are yet to join the team.

The new technical team led the players through rigorous drills and some ball work on the first day of training. The team will practice on Wednesday and Thursday before facing the Super Eagles on Friday.

Ghana will engage Uganda four days later as coach Addo builds a new team ahead of the World Cup qualifier against Mali and the Central African Republic in June.

Otto Addo names squad for Nigeria clash

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghana coach Otto Addo has named a 26-man squad for the international friendlies against Nigeria and Uganda.

Captain Andre Ayew, his brother Jordan Ayew and Mohammed Kudus will lead the team as Ghana prepares for the World Cup qualifiers in June.

The Black Stars will face Nigeria on Friday in Marrakech before engaging Uganda four days later.
