Arsenal have confirmed the signing of Wolves wonderkid Brayden Clarke.

The Gunners have been in fantastic form this season, with the north Londoners among the favourites to challenge for the Premier League and Champions League.

Mikel Arteta's charges are currently topping the league standings with 64 points and are already through to the quarter-finals of the European tournament.

While the first team is on a two-week break, they have been busy sealing pieces of business.

According to The Mirror, Arsenal have snapped up Clarke from Wolves, with the youngster set to join the Gunners' youth team.

It is understood that the promising defender will initially join Arsenal's Under-18 team as he hopes to come through the ranks.

"We are delighted to announce that Wales youth international Brayden Clarke has joined us," Arsenal said in a statement.
"We all welcome Brayden and his family to Arsenal," the club added.

Who is Brayden Clarke?

The teenage sensation operates as both a centre-back and a right-back.

Clarke spent seven years with the Wolves' academy team prior to his switch to Arsenal.

According to Arsenal's official website, Clarke, who is joining the club as a first-year scholar, spent his early years with Wolves.

He was a member of the Wales Under-17s team, which reached the European Championship Finals in May 2023.

The budding defender will be hoping to break into Arsenal's first team, with Mikel Arteta in charge.

Arsenal fans dream of Mbappe transfer

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe sparking Arsenal transfer speculation after he liked William Saliba's Instagram post.

At the time, Saliba took to social media to share his thoughts on the game against Liverpool, describing it as a tough encounter.

Mbappe liked the post, leading many to believe he was hinting at a preference for Arsenal over Liverpool.
