  • Arsenal, Liverpool, and Man City are all gunning for the Premier League title
  • Kyle Walker has said he would rather Liverpool win it than Mikel Arteta's men
  • The Gunners have not tasted Premier League glory for more than 20 years

Manchester City defender Kyle Walker has said he would rather Liverpool win this season's Premier League title than Arsenal.

City, Liverpool, and Arsenal are all firmly in the title race, with the three clubs interchanging the top three positions as campaign hots up.

Per Metro UK, only two points separate the Gunners, who temporarily moved to the top on Saturday, and City, who temporarily dropped to third.

Mikel Arteta's charges edged Brentford 2-1 on Saturday to climb to the summit with 64 points but could drop to third or second depending on the outcome of the Liverpool vs Man City cracker.

The Reds are scheduled to host Pep Guardiola's men at Anfield later on Sunday, in a tie that could possibly have a bearing on the outcome of the title race.

Walker prefers Liverpool winning title than Arsenal

With the title race proving to get tighter by the day, Walker has sensationally claimed that he would actually prefer Liverpool to win it over Arsenal if City fails to retain the crown.

Speaking on Rio Ferdinand's VIBE with FIVE, the Englishman, who spent eight years at Tottenham Hotspur, insisted that he does not want to see the Gunners crowned as champions.

"It’s so hard. I don’t want Arsenal [to win] because of Tottenham," Walker said.
"Yeah, I just don’t want Arsenal," he added when asked by Ferdinand if he still had affection for Spurs.

Arsenal have not won the Premier League title for close to two decades, with their last triumph coming in 2004.
