Manchester United, on the other hand, have won seven of their previous nine matches in all competitions. The Red Devils are coming off a 2-0 victory in their last Premier League game against Everton.

Liverpool booked their place in the last 8 after beating Arsenal (2-0), Norwich City (5-2), and Southampton in the earlier rounds.

Manchester United secured their spot in the quarters after defeating Wigan Athletic (2-0), Newport County (4-2), and Nottingham Forest (1-0) in the earlier rounds.

Liverpool are unbeaten in their last two meetings with the Red Devils, recording one win and one draw during that period.

The good news for Liverpool is that Mohamed Salah is finally back in action for them. He returned to the Reds' starting lineup in their midweek game against Slavia Praha in the Europa League.
