African Games: Black Princesses show resilience to come from behind to beat Tanzania

The Ghana U20 Women's national team came from behind to beat the Tanzania U20 Women's national team 2-0 on Tuesday night.

The Black Princesses, Ghana's U20 clashed with their Tanzanian counterparts in the second group match of the ongoing 13th Olympic Games women's football tournament.

How Ghana thumped Tanzania

Only 23 minutes into the match at the Cape Coast Stadium, Tanzania's Hasnath Ubamba found the net, giving them the lead.

However, the Black Princesses remained resilient, refusing to concede defeat and staying focused on the game.

In the dying moments of injury time in the first half, Tracey Twum's spectacular strike levelled the game before halftime.

The second half witnessed an intense battle, during which talented forward Mukarama Abdulai secured Ghana's lead with a goal in the 64th minute.

As the Black Princesses maintained their lead and dominance over the game, they secured a 2-1 victory by the end of the 90 minutes.

This triumph ensures that the Ghana U20 women’s national team advances to the knockout stage of the football tournament at the 13th African Games.
