  • Only one point separates Arsenal at the top and third-placed Man City
  • There are 10 games left to conclude the 2023/24 Premier League season

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has predicted how the Premier League title race could pan out after the Reds settled for a 1-1 draw with Manchester City.

City and Liverpool had a golden chance of toppling Arsenal from the summit of the table when they squared off on Sunday at Anfield.

However, the English giants missed out on the opportunity after they shared the spoils during the epic encounter.

John Stones scored the opening goal for the visitors in the 23rd minute after a clever move from Kevin De Bruyne before Alex Mac Allister equalised for the hosts from the spot shortly after the break.

According to ESPN, the result leaves the Gunners topping the charts with 64 points, on level with second-placed Liverpool.

City, meanwhile, dropped to third after the draw with 63 points.

Jamie Carragher makes EPL title prediction

Carragher has now made his Premier League title prediction in the wake of the result.

Speaking on Sky Sports, the former defender predicted that the title race is destined to go down the wire.

"The Premier League is fantastic. Both teams should be proud of how they performed, obviously I wanted Liverpool to win it at the end but what these two managers have given us over the last seven, eight years has been outstanding," Carragher said via The Mirror.
“It looks like it’s going to go to the wire alongside Arsenal now," he added.

Arsenal will be hoping to cement their lead at the top when they take on City in their next EPL fixture scheduled for the end of March.

On their part, Liverpool will be playing Brighton at Anfield.
