Stanley Nwabali has attracted interest from a number of clubs following the 27-year-old’s impressive performances for Nigeria at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Chippa United goalkeeper is rumoured to be on the radar of Saudi Pro League side, Al-Ettifaq, and Queens Park Rangers in England, while Kaizer Chiefs are also said to be interested in signing him.
According to the Daily Post, Nwabali’s agent, Mohammed Lawal, has stated categorically that the Super Eagles goalkeeper’s next move will be determined by the club that will guarantee him playing time.
"Stanley has to be playing regularly for his new club so as not to affect his place in the Super Eagles. He showed at the AFCON [that] he has a place in the national team, and he wishes to stay there for as long as possible."

Nwabali is reported to not yet be ready to relinquish his position in the national team and would prefer a club that guarantees him playing time in order to retain his spot in the Super Eagles starting XI.

Meanwhile, Nwabali is keeping his moves close to his chest concerning his next move but has hinted he might likely stay at Chippa United despite numerous offers after the AFCON, Punch NG reports.
The 27-year-old goalie has promised to repay his South African club by staying with them for at least another two years following owner, Siviwe Mpengesi’s support during the AFCON in Ivory Coast.
Nwabali was crucial for the Super Eagles during their campaign, keeping four clean sheets as Nigeria won the silver medal at the competition, losing narrowly to the hosts, Ivory Coast, in the final.
