Messi failed to score from that attack as his shot attempt was blocked.

The football icon did help Inter Miami take a 1-0 lead minutes later, per B/R Football, combining with Robert Taylor, who scored the opener.

The Argentine star found Taylor streaking toward the net. The latter connected hard with Messi's pass, driving his shot past the Real Salt Lake goalie's stretched arms and into the back of the net.
