Emilio Nsue has decided to spill it all open after his sudden expulsion from the Equatorial Guinea national team.

The veteran forward has been handed an indefinite suspension by the Equatorial Guinea Football Federation over disciplinary issues.

Nsue, who won the Golden Boot at the just-ended Africa Cup of Nations, in an Instagram Live session disclosed that FEGUIFUT were corrupt and the federation is using the national team to embezzle funds.

"The federation embezzled €1 million won thanks to CAN 2022 in Cameroon, no one knows where the money is," he said in a video circulation on social media.
"The federation has an unpaid debt to the Malabo hotel where the national team goes to each rally and has asked the players to leave the premises," he added.

According to Nsue, the players did not even have their kits ready before the opening game against Nigeria at AFCON 2023. A game that ended 1-1.

He continued: "Before the match against Nigeria at CAN 2024, the players did not have outfits ready. The equipment used in the national team is paid for by the players and not the federation.

The Intercity CF player also disclosed that the federation president would deflect issues regarding to the national team to the Sports Ministry, describing the leaders as illiterate.

"The president of the Federation of Equatorial Guinea does not want to get involved in the problems he says “he is not minister of sports” but he is always present to take money from the federation," he said.
"The day before the match against Guinea there were problems. The atmosphere was not good or even negative. After the defeat a member of the staff Dany Benzema then said 'Let’s put on some music'.
"The federation lies by saying that the money will be renewed for local football, result: Championship stopped after 2 months. The federation threatens certain local players and takes money from them.

Nsue went on to accuse the federation of unfair selection while insisting the coach was threatened with sack if he admitted to some of the corrupt practices around the team.

The former Middlesborough attacker, who plays as a right-back at his Spanish club, returned to Intercity CF for club duties this week.

He scored five goals at the Africa Cup of Nations, as reported by the CAF Online.
