Premier League 2023/24 Top Scorers

1. Erling Haaland (Manchester City, 16 goals)

Haaland picked up right where he left off, scoring a brace against Everton in his return from a foot injury. He finally broke the Toffees' resistance, netting goals in the 71st and 85th minutes to hand Man City all three points.

The Norwegian reestablished his two-goal lead over Mohamed Salah in the Golden Boot race after that contest and is now the clear favourite to win the scoring title for the second straight year, per Goal.com.

2. Mohamed Salah (Liverpool, 14 goals)

Salah failed to keep pace with Haaland in the Golden Boot race as he missed another game for Liverpool due to injury. He dropped to second place, with the Egyptian star stuck at 14 goals.

Salah hasn't played for the Reds since he was called up by Egypt for the Africa Cup of Nations. The good news for Liverpool is that he has returned to training this week and could see action against Brentford.

3. Dominic Solanke (Bournemouth, 13 goals)

Solanke failed to score in the game against Fulham on Matchday 24 as he lost ground in the Golden Boot race.

The Bournemouth star remained in third place with 13 goals, with his last strike coming against West Ham United two weeks ago.

4. Son Heung-min (Tottenham, 12 goals)

Son made an immediate impact in his return from the Asian Cup, delivering an assist in Tottenham's come-from-behind win over Brighton and Hove Albion last Saturday.

He failed to add to his goal tally, leaving him four behind Haaland in the Golden Boot race.

5. Jarrod Bowen (West Ham, 11 goals)

Bowen and West Ham suffered a humiliating defeat on Matchday 24, losing 6-0 to Arsenal at home. He remained tied with Ollie Watkins in fifth place with 11 goals.

5. Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa, 11 goals)

Watkins failed to find the back of the net in their game against Manchester United, leaving him stuck at 11 goals. He now trails Haaland by five goals in the Golden Boot race heading into Matchday 25.

Mourinho predicts Premier League winners

Sports Brief has also reported on Jose Mourinho predicting the Premier League winners.

The former Chelsea and Man Utd boss tipped Liverpool and Man City to battle for the title.

Mourinho ruled out the Gunners ending their Premier League title drought in this season.
