Sadio Mane has ended his vacation in Senegal to rejoin his Al-Nassr teammates in training ahead of the resumption of the Saudi Pro League.

The Saudi top-flight league has been on a break due to the Asian Cup championship currently ongoing in Qatar.

Mane was also involved in international football after participating in the Africa Cup of Nations with the Senegalese national football team.

Unfortunately, the Teranga Lions failed to defend their title after they were eliminated by the host nation Ivory Coast in the Round of 16.

The 31-year-old had married a few days before the start of the tournament and was expected to spend time with his wife, Aisha Tamba, following his return home.

Al-Nassr coach Luis Castro offered Mane extra days off to enjoy his holidays, but the winger returned to Riyadh and immediately started training.

"I authorised Sadio (Mane) an extra day off because he was with the national team and also he recently got married," he said during training as shared on social media.

Meanwhile, Mane is delighted to rejoin the group as preparations continue ahead of the return of the SPL.

"I am really excited to come back. From the airport direct to the training ground, I really enjoyed it," said Mane.

The Senegalese forward joined the Saudi outfit in the summer transfer window after a torrid campaign in Germany with Bayern Munich.

Mane has scored eight goals and provided four assists in 12 league games for Al-Nassr, as reported by Transfermarkt.

Ronaldo sends Mane message at AFCON

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Cristiano Ronaldo followed the Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d'Ivoire due to the involvement of his Al-Nassr FC teammate Sadio Mane.

The Real Madrid legend rejoined his Al-Nassr teammates last week as preparations began ahead of the resumption of the Saudi Pro League.

The league went on a break for the Asian Cup, which is currently ongoing in Qatar, with Saudi Arabia in the knockout stage of the tournament.
