The Reds played out an entertaining 1-1 draw against The Cottages on Wednesday, January 24, and it was enough to send them through to the final after a 2-1 win in the first leg.

The Colombia international and his wife then took to social media on Thursday in a joint post to announce a new addition to the family.

On Instagram, the couple shared a photo cradling their daughter with the caption:

"It's a long-awaited and desired girl, who came into our lives with incredible magic.”

They also revealed in their message that they decided to have another child on April 25, their seventh anniversary.

The message went on, “And today, January 25, on a day that we already considered special, our little girl arrived. God has blessed us with our daughter.”

Baby Charlotte’s sibling is a two-year-old whom the couple named Roma.

Luis Diaz’s blessing after a trying time

It was nice to see Diaz enjoying some good news, especially after the harrowing ordeal involving his father towards the end of 2023.

Luis Manuel Díaz, 58, was subjected to a kidnapping by armed guerrillas on the Colombian-Venezuelan border and spent 12 days ‘trekking in the mountains”, according to The Guardian.

The abductors eventually let him go, and no money was ever paid for his freedom, despite initial speculation that he was kidnapped for ransom.

Thomas Partey welcomes baby

Still on baby news, Arsenal and Ghana star Thomas Partey also welcomed a child with his partner recently.

This is Partey’s first child with his girlfriend Janine Mackson, who shared cute pictures of her holding the newborn.
