Moumbagna, earning his first two caps for the Indomitable Lions last November, made his AFCON debut at the Charles Konan Banny Stadium on Monday, January 15, against Syli National.

Despite coming on as a late substitute in the five-time African champions' pursuit of victory, his combined effort with Karl Toko Ekambi did not alter the outcome as Cameroon split points with Guinea in a pulsating 1-1 draw.

As Cameroon prepares for their second match against reigning African champions Senegal on January 19, the 23-year-old hopes for more playing time and possibly breaking his goal-scoring duck in the said game.

Ahead of the highly-anticipated clash, Faris revealed his secret musical gift to the world, captivating onlookers in the hotel lobby with a flawless piano performance, as seen in a video shared on social media.

Moumbagna to Marseille

Meanwhile, the forward may be on the verge of a club switch during the ongoing January transfer market, with French Ligue 1 side Olympique Marseille reportedly expressing a strong interest in acquiring his services.

Foot Mercato reports that negotiations have been discreetly conducted by Marseille's management trio—Pablo Longoria, Mehdi Benatia, and Stephane Tessier.

The report further indicates that an agreement has been reached between Marseille and his current club, Bodø/Glimt, for an approximate amount of 8 million euros, with a four-and-a-half-year contract awaiting him.

The native of Yaoundé has contributed six goals and an assist in 12 matches for the Norwegian champions across the main Conference League competition and the qualifiers, as per Transfermarkt.
