Who is Deon Hotto?

Deon Hotto was born on October 29, 1990, in Swakopmund, Namibia.

The 33-year-old midfielder is married to Sasha Uapii Hotto.

They were seen celebrating together after Namibia’s win over Tunisia.

Hotto started his football career with the Blue Boys before playing for the African Stars (2012-2014), Golden Arrows (2014-2016), Bloemfontein Celtic (2016-2018), and Bidvest Wits (2018-20).

He currently plays for the Orlando Pirates, a team he joined in 2020. He has scored 16 goals and dished out 22 assists in 114 matches for the Pirates.

He has been representing Namibia on the international stage since 2013, scoring 11 goals in total for the Brave Warriors.

His maiden goal for Namibia came in their FIFA World Cup qualifier against Nigeria on June 12, 2013.

He helped Namibia capture their first-ever international trophy on May 30, 2015, scoring twice in their 2-0 win over Mozambique in the 2015 COSAFA Final.

He will forever be remembered, though, for his late goal against Tunisia in their Group E clash at the 2023 AFCON.

He timed his run perfectly, heading in Muzeu's cross to give Namibia the victory.

He posted a message on social media after the game to thank Namibian fans for their support.

Who is Bethuel Muzeu?

Bethuel Muzeu was born on February 22, 2000, in Omaheke Region in Namibia.

He played for Tura Magic in the 2021-22 Namibia Premier Football League season before joining the Black Leopards in July 2022.

He has been in fine form this season, leading South Africa’s Second Division in scoring with 10 goals in 12 matches played.

Muzeu made his senior international debut for Namibia in 2022 when he made the roster for the COSAFA Cup.

He scored his first-ever goal for the Brave Warriors in their 1-0 win over Mozambique on July 15, 2022. That goal helped Namibia secure their fourth COSAFA Cup Final appearance.

Namibian fans will forever remember him for his match-winning assist against Tunisia at the 2023 AFCON.

He whipped in a fantastic cross from the left flank, finding a wide-open Notto, who headed in the goal.

His match-winning pass earned him Assist of the Day honours at the AFCON.
