Gor Mahia have slapped a substantial price on the head of their sought-after striker, Benson Omalla.
Any club eyeing Omala will need to fork out a minimum of 100,000 US Dollars (Approximately Ksh15 million) to lure the club into considering a sale.
Speculation about the player’s potential move has been rife, with social media flooded with rumours linking him to Algerian giants USM Alger.
However, Gor Mahia has categorically denied these rumours, asserting that the striker is staying put, at least for now.
Sam Ocholla, the Secretary General of Gor Mahia, stressed that the club won't entertain any offers below Ksh15 million for the prolific striker.

Football"He is our best asset, the leading scorer for both the team and the league. A talented young player with four years left on his contract. Currently, we won't consider anything less than 100,000 US Dollars for Omalla. If a compelling offer comes, we won't stand in his way," Ocholla is quoted by Capital Sports.
Omala's impressive goal-scoring performance last season has made him a hot commodity in the transfer market. He finished as the league's second-highest scorer with 25 goals (just two behind Kenya Police's Elvis Rupia),
Currently, Omala is the league’s top scorer with nine goals in 17 games.
Previously, Omalla was linked to clubs within and outside Africa, including South African powerhouses Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates, and Tanzanian champions Yanga.
While it remains unclear whether discussions between Omalla's representatives and USM Alger have begun, the perennial Kenyan champions are yet to receive official communication about the Algerian club's interest.

“Benson is the striker that is perfect for my team. If you look through all my teams, we have always had a Didier Drogba-type No.9. Maybe I am the perfect coach to come and work with Benson. He fits into the way I want to play football perfectly,” the Gor Mahia boss tells Gor Mahia News.
