Erling Haaland is one happy man.
The Manchester City striker couldn't hide his delight after his teammate Kevin de Bruyne made a triumphant return to the side in the third round of the FA Cup on Sunday.
The Norwegian star jumped for joy on the bench after de Bruyne delivered an assist in the 5-0 win over Huddersfield Town.
Super sub De Bruyne stars in return
The Belgian midfielder made an immediate impact after coming on as a substitute in the second half.
He reminded everybody of his incredible ability when he assisted Jeremy Doku’s goal in the 74th minute.
He played a gorgeous one-two with Oscar Bobb before delivering a delightful chip pass to the back post for Doku to fire into the net, per the BBC.
The 32-year-old eventually played 33 minutes in his first game back since injuring his hamstring on the first day of the 2023-24 season.
City target another treble
His return will give manager Pep Guardiola a timely boost as Manchester City aim to replicate their feat last season and win another historic treble.
They are currently in third place in the Premier League, trailing leaders Liverpool by five points but with a game in hand.
They are also through to the round of 16 of the Champions League after sweeping all six of their matches in the group stage. City were handed a fortunate draw in the knockout stage as they will next face Copenhagen.
The good news for City is that they have no players leaving for the Africa Cup of Nations and the AFC Asian Cup.

FootballStars depart for AFCON and Asian Cup
The same can’t be said of their title rivals in the Premier League, though.
Sports Brief recently reported that Mohamed Salah will miss some of Liverpool’s upcoming matches after he was called up by Egypt for the AFCON.
Son Heung-min also will be out of Tottenham’s lineup after he was called up by South Korea for the Asian Cup.
