Alejandro Garnacho was the star of the night for Manchester United in their 3-2 comeback victory over Aston Villa, and it was even better with his behind-the-scenes antics.

Aston Villa have been one of the Premier League’s best teams since the appointment of Unai Emery. They were 2-0 up at halftime against United at Old Trafford.

A fired-up Garnacho rescued United from their claws with three second-half goals, the first of which was ruled out for offside before hitting a brace to draw the scores level.

£72m striker Rasmus Hojlund scored his first Premier League goal in 15 games, and it couldn't have come at a better time than to be a winner in a comeback victory.

Garnacho discloses tunnel talk

The Red Devils came out a much better team in the second half, and the hero of the night, Garnacho, disclosed what he told his teammates in the tunnel before the second half.

“In the tunnel at halftime, I said: we just have to score the first goal, and we will be back in it. We are Manchester United, we never give up,” he said via Sportskeeda.

The Argentine starlet did not only talk, he walked the talk with his goals. Fans are raving about his clutch performance, reminiscent of his idol and former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.

He dedicated the performance to the fans with his post on Instagram.

“Christmas Present, Reds. No one deserves this more than our fans. We are Manchester United!” he wrote.

The Reds travel to the City Ground next for their final game of the year against rejuvenated Nottingham Forest under Nuno Espirito Santo.
