GOAL adds that the former Real Madrid manager also had a tiff with Osimhen, whom he accused of diving during this fixture last season.

The Giallarossi claimed an important win at home as they beat the defending champions 2-0. An acrobatic effort from Lorenzo Pellegrini and a late strike from Romelu Lukaku lifted Mourinho's side over the struggling champions.

The win takes Roma to 6th place on the Serie A table with 28 goals, one ahead of Napoli after 17 games.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that the reigning African Player of the Year, Victor Osimhen, has signed a new deal with the Italian club SSC Napoli.

The 24-year-old penned a contract that will see him stay at Napoli until the summer of 2026. Osimhen's previous contract was set to expire in 2025 but has now decided to stay for an extra year.

The Super Eagles forward has been reported to be on the verge of signing a new deal this week despite interest from several top clubs in Europe.
