Reigning African Player of the Year, Victor Osimhen has signed a new deal at Italian club SSC Napoli.
The 24-year-old penned a contract that will see him stay at Napoli until the summer of 2026.
Osimhen's previous contract was set to expire in 2025 but has now decided to stay for an extra year.
The extension of Osimhen's contract was announced on the club's official social media pages.
The Super Eagles forward has been reported to be on the verge of signing a new deal this week despite interest from several top clubs in Europe.

FootballOsimhen joined the Italian giants for a record transfer fee in 2020 and has since been a key figure in the city of Naples, leading the club to their first Scudetto in 33 years.
The Nigerian forward also became the first African player to win the Golden Boot award in Italy.
He was named the Italian Football Association Player of the Year before adding the CAF Player of the Year award to his long list of accolades.
Osimhen has been named in Nigeria's squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
