With boxing gaining traction in the Gulf, highlighted by Tyson Fury's recent win against Francis Ngannou, the 'Day of Reckoning' fight night added another thrilling chapter to the sport, per Essentially Sports.

Ronaldo arrives in style

Sporting a stylish green Gucci jacket paired with black attire, the 38-year-old captain of Al-Nassr donned dark brown sunglasses and a white pair of shoes as he made a grand entrance, holding a small black purse.

As he entered the venue, flanked by security and companions, a fan queried if boxing ranked as his second favourite sport.

However, the former Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus ace placed the sport described by many as the "Noble Art of Self defence" as his third choice. Obviously, football sits at the top of Ronaldo's picks while, presumably, MMA is his second favourite.

What's next for Ronaldo?

After the fight night, Ronaldo shifts focus to the Saudi Pro League, where Al-Nassr meets defending champions Al-Ittihad in an outstanding matchday 17 fixture on Tuesday, December 26.

This match marks Cristiano's reunion with former Real Madrid teammate Karim Benzema since their UEFA Nations League encounter a couple of seasons back.

Al-Nassr will aim to narrow the gap with league leaders Al-Hilal by securing a win against the struggling Tigers.

Al-Ittihad faces a challenging phase following a defeat to Al Raed and their exit from the FIFA Club World Cup at the quarterfinal stage against Egypt's Al Ahly.

Sports Brief also reported that Steven Gerrard offered high praise for Cristiano Ronaldo, acknowledging the Al-Nassr captain's remarkable prowess even at 38, a stage where most players begin to wind down.

Gerrard, in awe of Ronaldo's incredible performance, as he nears his 40s, found himself compelled to laud the Portuguese sensation for his enduring excellence on the field.
