Ronaldo's remarkable performance in 2023

His impact transcends the pitch, inspiring other top-tier talents to consider similar paths to the Middle East.

On a personal level, the 38-year-old has been a force in the Gulf, consistently finding the back of the net and setting records ablaze each game as he leads the SPL's top scorer's chart with 17 goals in 16 games, per Transfermarkt.

Currently in contention for the top marksman accolade of 2023, Ronaldo's 51 goals in the year put him neck and neck with leaders Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe with two games remaining.

His recent goal in a decisive 3-1 victory against Steven Gerrard's Al Ettifaq narrowed the gap between Al-Nassr and league leaders Al-Hilal to 10 points.

"Cristiano Ronaldo is a goal machine. I have great admiration for him. He's an older player but still performs better than all the others on the pitch," the Liverpool legend said as cited by TCR on X (formerly called Twitter).
The 43-year-old added: "He has achieved everything possible individually and is still going strong, hungry for goals. I think this defines the greatest of all time."
