Since its establishment in 1899, Catalan club Barcelona has undergone a remarkable transformation from a modest football team in Catalonia to one of the world’s foremost football clubs.

The La Liga giants, which have undoubtedly left fans with loads of unforgettable memories, are set to celebrate their 125th anniversary, and the club is ensuring it would be an occasion to remember for many fans as they have unveiled a new crest to commemorate the celebration.

As announced on social media, Barcelona will be donning a distinctive badge in honour of its 125th anniversary. This special emblem will be utilised by all teams, including volleyball, basketball, and Ice hockey teams, throughout the 2024-25 season.

Barcelona unveils special crest

Football Espana reports the inner part prominently displays the number 125, symbolising the club's remarkable journey over the past 125 years. On the outer part, the club's name, founding, and current dates are featured.

Footy headlines also highlight that Barcelona's kit supplier, Nike, will launch a special edition jersey collection to mark the anniversary and have provided a preview of how the new badge will appear on the club's home kit for the upcoming season.

In addition to these visual commemorations, Barcelona is expected to unveil more initiatives to celebrate this significant milestone in the upcoming weeks.

Throughout its illustrious history, Barcelona has been graced by legendary football figures such as the eight-time Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi, Argentine great Diego Maradona, Johan Cruyff, Brazilian icon Romario Faria, and a plethora of other stars who have proudly worn the club's jersey.

Lewandowski rallies Barcelona teammates

Sports Brief in a previous report stated Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski has urged his teammates to overcome their current woes and secure a much-needed result ahead of their crucial clashes against Atletico and Girona.
