Cristiano Ronaldo has an eye for talent.

Long before Dejan Kulusevski established himself as one of the key players for Tottenham Hotspur, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner already spotted his potential.

Ronaldo praised Kulusevski in 2020

The Al-Nassr star talked about Kulusevski back in 2020 following the showdown between their respective national teams - Portugal and Sweden.

Ronaldo got to know more about Kulusevski when he played alongside the Swedish midfielder in his final season in the Italian top flight, per Manchester Evening News.

They weren’t able to win the Scudetto together with Juventus in the 2020-21 season, but they did manage to lift the Coppa Italia.

Kulusevski starred for the Old Lady in the cup final, scoring the opening goal in Juve's 2-1 win over Atalanta.

Kulusevski salvages point for Spurs

Kulusevski was also the hero for Tottenham in their 3-3 draw against Manchester City on Sunday, scoring a dramatic equaliser in the 90th minute, per the BBC.

He helped Spurs avoid a fourth consecutive defeat in the English league, using his head and shoulder to divert Brennan Johnson’s cross off the bar and into the back of the net.

Son jokes about own goal vs City

Sports Brief also previously reported on Son Heung-min mocking his own goal in the Manchester City versus Tottenham Premier League clash.

The 31-year-old skipper opened the scoring for Spurs in the sixth minute with a fine solo effort, before diverting Julian Alvarez's cross into his own net.

The South Korean star joked about that error after the game, saying it was a 'good experience to score an own goal for the first time against Man City'.
