Felix made his highly anticipated move to Barcelona on transfer deadline day after months of speculation.

He reportedly fell out with Atletico manager Diego Simeone and publically confessed his dream of playing for Barcelona. He was shipped to Chelsea in January 2023 on loan, but a permanent move to the English club never materialized.

This season, he has seven goals and assists for Barcelona and has started 13 of the 16 games he has played so far, per Transfermarkt.

Joao Felix wants to stay at Barcelona

Speaking to Movistar, as quoted by Barca Universal, the former Benfica wonderkid says he he ready to continue with Barcelona.

“I am happy here and my family is happy here.. I want to stay and well.. we will see in the future.”

The forward is currently valued at €50 million, but it is unclear if Barcelona have the kind of finances to sign him. The club still has some serious financial issues, and it remains to be seen if they will sign him permanently in January or in the summer.

If he continues to perform well and helps Barcelona win the league, Atletico will definitely sell him to the highest bidders, especially clubs in the Saudi Pro League
