Lukaku leads Belgium with four goals

Lukaku scored four goals in the game’s opening 37 minutes to power Belgium’s victory. He opened the scoring in the 17th minute, heading in Jeremy Doku’s cross.

The floodgates opened when Azerbaijan’s Eddy Israfilov was shown a red card.

He blasted in his second goal in the 26th minute from Timothy Castagne's knockdown pass. He completed his hat-trick in the 30th minute with a header from Wout Faes' cross.

Lukaku recorded his first international quadruple in the 37th minute after scoring from Orel Mangala's ball, per the BBC. He was replaced at the half-time break.

The big man was later seen hanging out with his teammates on the bench. A photo of the Belgian star checking his phone went viral soon after.

Belgium qualify for Euro 2024

Belgium finished top of Group F, scoring 22 points from eight games to qualify for the 2024 European Championship.

The Red Devils have yet to lose since boss Domenico Tedesco took over in February.

Lukaku has rediscovered his scoring form for Belgium with Tedesco in charge. He scored 14 goals in his country's Euro qualifying campaign to set a new record.

He holds a big lead over Cristiano Ronaldo and Kylian Mbappe, who scored 10 and nine goals, respectively, in their European Championship qualifying matches this year.
