Jose Mourinho has a special heart, and he again proved it with a gift to AS Roma's kitmen after their hard-fought comeback victory over Lecce at the Stadio Olimpico.

Mourinho's men appeared to be heading for a defeat at home before two late goals from Sardar Azmoun, his first goal for the club, and a late winner from Romelu Lukaku changed their fortunes.

Both goals came in the additional minutes as Lukaku, who missed a penalty in the fifth minute, atoned for it with a late goal to help Roma record their sixth win in the last seven games.

Per Opta, Giallorossi are the kings of late goals and have scored nine goals beyond the 76th minute this season, proving their resilience and never-say-die attitude.

Mourinho gifts kitmen new boots

The Special One did not hide his emotions when his team went ahead in added time and was seen getting emotional with Lukaku at the final whistle.

As shared on his Instagram story, the Portuguese manager took his celebration to his backroom staff and gifted new Adidas boots to four of them.

The former Chelsea boss also applauded the fans at the Stadio Olimpico for spurring the team to victory despite being behind in a game they should have won.

“I said it before, us winning this match was only made possible because of the connection with the fans. There is an incredible connection, even when we don’t play well, and that’s no coincidence,” he said via Roma Press.
“I have coached many teams in my life, but I’ve never seen anything like it,” he added.
