Ghana midfielder, Thomas Partey has resumed training after recovering from an injury that kept him on the sidelines since August 26, 2023.

The 30-year-old joined his Arsenal teammates in training on Monday and could be available for the UEFA Champions League game against RC Lens on Tuesday.

His return is also huge boost for the Black Stars ahead of the international friendlies against the United States and Mexico later this month.

In a video shared on social media, Partey's teammates gave him a warm welcome as he starts training after five weeks out.

Partey's injury saw him miss the games against Manchester United, Everton, Tottenham Hotspurs and Bournemouth in the English Premier League. He was also unavailable for the UEFA Champions League group opener against PSV.

The Arsenal star missed Ghana's Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Central African Republic and the friendly against Liberia, as reported by citinewsroom.com.

The former Atletico Madrid midfielder is expected to play a pivotal role in the rest of the campaign for the English giants as they chase the EPL title for the first time in twenty years.

Thomas Partey expecting first child with partner

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Arsenal and Ghana midfielder, Thomas Partey will soon be a father after his partner, Janine Mackson, announced that they are expecting their first child together.

The midfielder and Ms Mackson have been dating for some time now despite not making their relationship public.

Partey looks ready for the next chapter of his life as he awaits the birth of his child with the model.

Agbanlahor advises Arsenal to sell Partey

Former England striker, Gabriel Agbonlahor believes it is time for Arsenal to let midfielder Thomas Partey leave over his 'inconsistency' at the London club.

Partey is currently out due to an injury which has kept him on the sidelines since the game against Fulham on August 26, 2023.

Agbonlahor lamented over the midfielder's unavailability and feels the Gunners are not benefitting from his continuous stay at the club.
