2023 WWC: Super Falcons Coach Waldrum Makes Urgent Update Ahead of Tie Against Canada

Randy Waldrum who is the coach of the Super Falcons of Nigeria has confirmed the readiness of his players for the 2023 Women's World Cup which will be taking place in New Zealand and Australia.

The 10th edition of the Women's World Cup will start from July 20 to August 20 with fans in Nigeria urging their players to shine in the tournament.

Ahead of their clash against Canada, the Super Falcons coach assured Nigerians that they should expect good results from his wards.

Barcelona Femeni striker Asisat Oshoala is expected to lead the attack for the Super Falcons in this tournament alongside Rasheedat Ajibade.

According to the report on Complete Sports, Waldrum stated emphatically that all his players are in good shape ahead of the first game.

Waldrum ready for the World Cup

“The players were into it, it was intense and then we got a chance to work on some of the tactics, so very pleased with training today.
“Obviously the weather is going to be a little bit of a factor, it’s
colder there than it is here, it’s winter in Australia, so we’re just going to have to adapt to it.
“It’s a 12:30 kick-off midday game, so that should help a little bit with the weather. I think the thing is you get to this point you just have to play in the elements whatever they are you’re at the World Cup.''

Ebi makes a big statement

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Onome Ebi who is the captain of the Super Falcons of Nigeria has confirmed her readiness to help her country excel at the coming 2023 Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

The strong defender is now set to make history as she will be featuring in her sixth World Cup which is an incredible record for the Nigerian star.
