Jude Bellingham, hailed as the Best Player of the previous Bundesliga season, has described his move to Real Madrid as the pinnacle of his life.

In an official unveiling ceremony in Madrid, Bellingham - the fifth Englishman to join Los Blancos - proudly sported the No.5 jersey, following in the footsteps of his idol, Zinedine Zidane.

Dressed impeccably in his black suit, the new Galactico labelled the event as the proudest moment of his promising career, anticipating a path to greatness.

“Today is the proudest day of my life because I have joined the greatest club in the world,” Bellingham said, as quoted by MadridZone.

Bellingham’s Real Madrid contract details

Sports Brief also reported on Bellingham signing a six-year contract worth €20mil per season, which works out to €120mil ($130mil) and could cost Real Madrid in excess of €250mil ($270mil) in total.

The Spanish titans confirmed the signing of the highly-rated English midfielder from Bundesliga giants, Borussia Dortmund in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Bellingham becomes the highest-profile arrival at the club this summer following the recent returns of Fran García and Brahim Díaz from Rayo Vallecano and AC Milan, respectively.

Bellingham bids farewell to Dortmund

Sports Brief also reported that Bellingham described the last three years with Dortmund as the biggest of his life after sealing a mega deal to join Real Madrid this summer.

The England midfielder will join Los Blancos in the Spanish capital next season after three terms with BVB, after the La Liga side paid a whopping €103 mil for his services.

Bellingham's Dortmund departure was emotional, with the star having arrived from Birmingham City in 2019 as a boy and finally leaving the Bundesliga side as a man.
